History of Zhenzhong

1958: The founding of Shenyang Refractory Factory, the predecessor of Zhenzhong - The first manufacturer of electro-fused zirconia corundum in China.

1987: On November 4th, SRF’s Zhengzhou Branch broke ground.

1988: On April 22nd, SRF Zhengzhou Branch production trial successfully completed.

1990: Name change to Zhengzhou Zhenzhong Electro-Fused Refractory Factory.

1991: Successful completion of search and development of desilicate zirconia product, filling the domestic gap in this field. 

Our company was named “Henan Province Level One Advanced Enterprise” (Level one being the highest grade) by the provincial government.

1993: Zhengzhou Zhenzhong Industrial Group Co. was founded, with its 16 entities ranging from our mainstream electro-fused refractory productions to Logistics Company to Food Processing and Production Company.

On June 8th, Li Chang Chun, (current member of Standing Committee of Political Bureau, the CPC Central Committee, and former secretary of Henan provincial party committee) inspected our company, and wrote:”Strive to make Zhenzhong a star enterprise, joining the ranks of China’s Best Township-Enterprise.”

1994: Reform into a Joint-Stock company. 

“Method of producing zirconium dioxide by electro-fusion ball-blowing” was given National Inventive Paten.

Awarded certificate for “TQC (Total Quality Control) Qualified Enterprise” by China Department of Agriculture. 

1997: Named “Second Tire Large Township Enterprise” by China Department of Agriculture.

2001: Successful completion of research and development of Electro-cast Calcium Zirconate, and was given National Inventive Patent.

Successful completion of research and development of “Founding casting non-oxidate containing plate shape material compound zirconium boule refractory brick and production method thereof”, and was given national Inventive Patent.

Named “Advanced and New Technological Enterprise”

2002: Sucessful completion of research and development of “Production method of electric melting magnesium-aluminium-zirconium synthetic material”, and was given national inventive Patent.

Successful completion of research and development of “Electric melting production method of silicon micropowder and zirconium compound silicon micropowder”, and was awarded national inventive patent.

Successful completion of research and development of “Calcium stabilizing zirconia and electric melting producing method thereof”, and was awarded national inventive patent. Products in this series with Magnesium and Yttrium stabilizer were put into production as well.

2003: Successful completion of research and development of “Process for producing electric smelting zirconium silicate powder”, and was awarded national inventive patent.

Named “Reliable Enterprise” and “Zhengzhou City Inventive Patent Model Enterprise”.

2004: High Purity Fused Zirconia was developed, Zirconium concentration reaches 99.5%, applied for national inventive patent.

2005: High Purity, High Activity and High Specific Surface thermal Zirconia was developed, such is a breakthrough for the practical applications of thermal  Zirconia in industries such as advanced pigment production (Zr-Pr-Si yellow, Zr-Fe-Si pink) and structural ceramics.

2006: Wear-Resistant Bricks for Metallurgical Industry was developed and put to production, filling the domestic gap in this field. This product is exported to over ten countries and regions including the US, Korea and Malaysia.

2007: Electro-Cast Alumina β Corundum product was developed and put to production, and was sold to both domestic and international market.

2008: Electro-Cast Alumina α Corundum product was developed, filling the domestic gap in this field.

2009:Magnesia zirconia powder for yellow magnesia-zirconia structural ceramics(Mg-PSZ) was developed, filling the domestic gap in this field.

The company has been awarded "Henan outstanding refractory company"

The company has been awarded "China building materials top 500" by China Building Materials Association.

"The top 100 of China most growing enterprises"

The company has passed the new version of the ISO9001:2008 quality system certification

2010:The fused yttrium stabilized zirconia powder for thermal barrier coating has been developed successfully, filling the domestic gap and exporting to Europe

Development of ceramic shot peening for surface treatment industry

The company has been awarded "China building materials top 500" by China Building Materials Association.

"The top 100 of China most growing enterprises"

2011:The fused cast α alumina was awarded by the people's Government of Henan "the famous products of Henan province"

The production method of fused magnesia-aluminum zirconia synthetic material was successfully developed, and was given national inventive Patent

The national standard of GB/T 26563-2011 zirconia drafted by the company is approved by the National Standard Committee and issued and implemented.

The company has been awarded "China building materials top 500" by China Building Materials Association.

The "AAA credit enterprise" was awarded by the China Refractory Industry Association

2012:Tang Guozhong, vice chairman of CPPCC of the Guangdong Province visited the company in July 6th.

In August 16th, Guo Gengmao, the Secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee met the chairman of Li Qisheng and listened to the company's report.

The company has been awarded the "China Resources Comprehensive Utilization influence enterprise"

Chairman Li Qisheng was awarded "the influential people of China comprehensive utilization of resources"

Fused Barium zirconate and fused high zirconium brick products are successfully developed and will be saled to the market.Participation in the compilation and review of the Handbook of zirconium and hafnium.

2013:China Resources Comprehensive Utilization Association awarded the first prize of science and technology of "Comprehensive utilization technology of resource regeneration of fused cast refractory brick"

The company was identified by the people's Government of Henan Province as "post doctoral research and development base in Henan province"

The company participates in drafting the YS/T 858-2013 standard for zirconium the non-ferrous metal industry, and has passed the approval, release and implementation of the national Ministry of industry information.
